Spring Cleaning

I hear everybody say they are doing spring cleaning and it makes me get so excited to do mine. Even though I might not get rid of lots of stuff, I still enjoy a nice clean house. Today I headed to work and there was only two of our providers working, and there were 7 of us girls there so I got to go home early since they didn't need me. Now we come to what I was supposed to be doing when I got home. Tony told me to take the day for myself and I told him of course I would take the day for myself. I came home and put some music on and started 'spring cleaning'. I am enjoying what I have already done. I have completely cleaned out the kitchen cabinets and moved all the furniture in our kitchen out and swept and mopped under all of it. Now I just have to wait for the kitchen to dry. While I am cleaning the kitchen I am getting all the laundry done so that I can go through all the cloths and find out what doesn't fit and that will go to DI. Can't wait to get around to the rest of the house. There is some severe 'deep' cleaning needed. Pictures to come later.

Wow it's been a long time.....Updates

So I just realized the last time I posted anything was in May. A couple of things have changed. I am now graduated from school and looking for a job. I have had more time on my hands so I have done so many things. I have been finishing lots of crafts I have been wanting to finish that I didn't have time for. I have more time to read lots of books. The library is too close to our house. I think they probably see me too often. Our house has been redecorated one too many times. I think every time Tony comes house at least one thing has changed. My mom says she doesn't think there is much more redecorating I can do. Another change is Tony has finished his first year of his apprenticeship program and is now working down south. It seemed like he was working closer to home until we took a drive down to his job site one day. It's not any closer. I actually think it is further away. Our contract for our apartment ends in September. We don't know if we will stay past our contract or move out. That will be a huge change if we move. Tony wants to move down south so we are looking for apartments here and there. There seems to be a lot less options down south but for the majority they are bigger for a cheaper price and they seem not to be as old as ours (Which would be a huge plus). Well I think that's it for now.

Work Again? Having Fun?......I THINK SO!!!!

So I am now finally done with all my school work. They only thing that I have left is 180 hours of outside work. I started Monday the 4th. I work with the most awesome people I could ask for. The patients are as cute as they can be too. It feels nice to know that I am getting to be out with people all day and not have to sit at home and try and think of things to do.

Other updates:
Tony is finishing up another semester of school at iec. He is doing absolutely fantastic in school and he is quite the worker and enjoys most of the people he is with during the day. I think he enjoys the things he works on.
Tony is getting ready to start a summer semester at uvu. He shares a lot of excitement for that.
I am planning on graduating in hopefully the end of may or sometime in June (as you can tell I am not exactly sure when it is). I am way excited!!

The Cutest Hubby

I know that everybody that is married would argue with me saying that their husband is cuter or better than me but I just want to at least put Tony in the spotlight for a couple of minutes. Today Tony called me on the phone because I told him we were going to have a nice dinner because I am done with everything for class except my state tests and my national test. He was so proud and he shared how proud he was for me. He makes me feel so special. Every morning he makes sure he greets me with a cute thing like good morning beautiful or he compliments how lucky he feels to have me in his life. Again he makes me feel special. Every little thing he does I know it's because he loves me. After I burned my hand he made sure that I sat around and didn't do anything, while he did everything. Can you say spoiled? Although it's hard to watch him do the wife duties. The dishes have started to build up because I can't have any part of my right hand under hot water and he called me today and said that when he came home there should be no dishes done because he was going to come home and do them. He is so adorable. There is an endless amount of things he does that makes me fall more in love with him everyday. I am so grateful for everything he does for our family.

Paradigm Shift

Today I was in the car with my mother in law and my brother in law and they were talking about how we see people in our eyes. Not that long ago I realized that every time I watch somebody or talk to somebody I have something mean to say about it. I realized that I was the one who had the real problem because I was judging. Later during the day I read some scripture. They are: 3 Nephi 14:2 -- For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged; and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you again. And also 1 Samuel 16:7 -- But the Lord said unto Samuel, Look not on his countenance, or on the height of his stature; because I have refused him: for the Lord seeth not as man seeth; for man looketh on the outward appearance, but the Lord looketh on the heart. If you think about it what we judge about people we will get to be judged on the same thing. Would you like to be judged on something small -- I wouldn't. The Lord doesn't judge us and isn't the goal to be more Christ-Like? At the beginning of the year Tony and I decided to make family goals and one of the goals is that we would treats others how we want to be treated and that we would always find the good in everybody around us. My hope that is that everybody will take the challenge to try and be kind to those around you and to become more Christ-Like and not judge those. Just try and start be finding something nice to say to those around you even if it's in your mind. Like if you see a girl that looks like she may be struggling to her you could would you like some help or Gee! I wish I had the will to keep pushing on like she is doing, or it could be as simple as wow she did a good job on her makeup or she is pretty! When you start with the simple you begin to start getting in the habit of being nice to those around you.

My burn

On Sunday we had my family over for dinner and my mom and I were finishing up dinner when I reached over and grabbed a stainless steel pan that had just come out of the oven. I burned my whole complete hand. They are all 2nd degree burns. It kind of sucks because I am right hand dominant and I now have to use my left hand. oh well everybody has trials. This one is mine. It's kind of interesting because I have learned how to do lots with my left hand and now I get waited on like crazy -- shhh....we won't tell Tony I LOVE being waited on!

I know, I know

Wow! I know I keep saying that I am going to keep up with my blog and I know I am not doing such a great job. Since my last post we have gotten rid of our internet so it isn't really easy to post things. I will just make a quick update and hopefully I will do a much better job at keeping up with my blog. And also maybe putting up recent pictures. Lets see here. Since the last time I blogged, Tony's brother has come home from a mission which is really awesome. I have gotten a lot further and school and I am almost done and ready to work in the medical field. I have gotten a job which has its challenges most days but is really fun and I love what I do. Oh and I got in my first fender bender. I guess that's all that is pretty much new. Again, hopefully I will keep my blog more updated.

Anniversary

Tony and I just barely celebrated our one year anniversary. We had a fantastic time. We celebrated most of our special day on Saturday instead of Sunday. In the morning Tony told me he had a church meeting to go go and I believed him because he has been to meetings every other week. Instead he left me in bed sleeping, went to the store and got flowers, a lovely vase, and a card. Once I woke up we got showers then we decided to go by in n' out and get some burgers and fries, and take them down to Springville to have breakfast with my family. Once we were done visiting all of our family down there we came back home and got all ready for the night. Tony took me to Sears and we got our pictures taken, and then we went to Applebee's and had a fabulous dinner. Then we came home and watched a movie together and then fell asleep.
On Sunday I got a little sick so we missed church, but as the day went on I felt better. For dinner I made lasagna, breadsticks, a salad, and a cake. Then we watched another movie.
I loved our anniversary. It is so wonderful to know that through all the bumps in the road we are able to stand side by side and accomplish things together. I love Tony with all my heart.

Day 8 - Short Term goals for this month and why

My short term goals for this month is to complete my whole workbook for my class, get the whole entire house how I want it, put up a Christmas tree and Christmas decorations, study for all my tests, finish up all my undone projects. The reason I want to finish my whole workbook is so I can get through my class faster so hopefully I will be able to get a job and then I will be out of class full of immature high school students with some immature adults. I would like to get the whole entire house clean and organized so it will finally be done and it will feel like home. I want to put up a Christmas tree because I am way excited to get to decorate one and I just love the season and all the decorations will help me feel more into the Christmas spirit. I want to study for all my tests so I can pass them all on the first round and so I can again get out of a class and away from all the immature people. I want to finish all my unfinished projects because then I will feel accomplished and I won't have projects sitting out everywhere.

Day 7 - Something or Somebody that has a huge impact on me

Family has a major impact on my life. I would have to say without Tony and I don't know where I would be today. Without my mom I probably wouldn't know some of the things I know today. My dad has a huge impact on my life because he does so much for me -- he has been there for a lot of things. I know right before my Tony's and I's wedding I was having a hard day and my dad had me sit by him on the couch and he just gave me a huge hug and just let me let it all out and he helped me out so much. Tony's family has a impact on me because they let us move in with them right after we got married. I wouldn't really know them without that. I am grateful for me whole entire family -- Extended, Immediate, A mom and dad, brother, Parents-in-law's, sister in laws, brother in laws.

Day 6 - favorite Superhero and why

I think my favorite superhero would be The Savior. Why would he be my superhero. Well lets break the word down.

Super - of the highest degree, power, etc.
Hero - a man of distinguished courage or ability, admired for his brave deeds and noble qualities

The Savior is at the highest degree and is a man of distinguished courage and ability.

The Savior has played a huge role in my life. I couldn't be where I am today without him. He has done so much to help me on my way through life. I love my Savior. I look up to him. Everyday I try to be more like him by being Christ-Like.

Day 5 - A picture of somewhere I've been

This is me in downtown Sacramento California

Day 4 - A habit I wish I didn't have

There are lots of habits I wish I didn't have. Just to name a few they would be biting my fingernails off, leaving dishes for the next day that becomes the next day, putting off stuff for tomorrow, going right behind everybody when they move and cleaning up. One of the biggest habits that I wish I didn't have is becoming angry with stuff when it isn't any big deal. Like when I don't feel like I did well on a test and then I get really mad at myself when I got an 80% instead of a 90%.

Day 3 - A picture of me and my friends

Ok, well since this is a blog about both Tony and I, I found a picture that has both of our friend(s) in it. Scott and Sam (both of the guys) are Tony's friend and then Jamie (Red dress) is my friend.

Well let's see here. The name behind our blog would come from the fact that our last name is Lefler, and we are The Lefler's. And we were married in November 2009. So there you go. Our blog name in a nut shell.

A little catching up.

Wow! How time has gotten by me. I know I promised pictures of our new apartment but I am trying to get everything in order before I take pictures. What has been going on in the Lefler household you may ask -- well lets see here. Tony and I have both been called to new callings in our new ward. I am now a cub scout den leader. Tony is the Assistant Ward mission leader. I am almost half way through school now and I am enjoying every minute of it but I am looking forward to being out of classes and being in the real field doing hands on stuff. Tony is working for an electrical company in the Salt Lake area and going to school while he works. We are both trying to get back into uvu. I would love to do some continuing education. (Yes, If I could make school a career and get paid for it that is what I would choose.) Tony wants to get back into uvu so he can actually get a different career path than the one he has now. We have almost been married a year and what a wonderful year it has been. We have loved every minute of it. I know some people think that we are silly but we absolutely enjoy laughing and having fun together. Life is great at the Lefler home. And we are looking forward to another wonderful year together. We are very excited for the many new things to come like: my graduation and One of Tony's AWESOME brothers to come home from his mission.
